Status of Pass-N-Pay

I have been gone for about a month now due to work. I wasnt able to get to the track because of work. You know how it goes, 12 hour days 6 days a week type of deal. I finally got to talk to both Sell Racing and TWR. They both told me to not worry about it and when you get there, to come down and say hello. I could not ask for two better groups to let me be part of the team.

I am on a more personal level with Tim and the team because we are family. My devotion for both teams and sprint car racing in general will never waiver. Thank you again for having me!.

I want to say to TWR and Timmy that your luck will change. Use this as a stepping stone to keep building. That was a great start to the year and couldnt ask for anything better. Keep learning and staying who you guys are. That win is coming!

To Sell Racing. I have been telling anyone who will listen. Derek is going to be fast. Once he figures out the winged cars he is gonna be a rocket. You guys keep pushing each week and do not let anything set you guys back. Those first couple weeks after we talked there was not to much to smile about. Everytime I came over you were guys were laughing, talking and enjoying yourselves. Keep it up!

July 4th Weekend

I did not get to go to the races this weekend due to hanging out with family and friends. I decided I needed a break from the action for a weekend and just enjoy being off for three days. Pass-N-Pay will be back this coming weekend.

Interview with Kyle Moody

I had the honor to meet and talk with Kyle Moody over the last couple weeks after he took my challenge. I asked him if he would mind taking a interview so I could post it up and he agreed. It is good to see up and coming drivers such as Kyle, Nicole Bower, Jesse Morrison, Derek Sell, Tim Wagaman, Logan Shoehart and so many others. I think our sport is in good hands. Thanks Kyle for taking the time to answwer my questions.

When did you start racing?

I started racing go karts when I was 8 years old.

Who helps you with the car each week?

My family is a big help, specially my dad and grandpa with the cost. We also have friends like Kenny, Tire Jason, Pepsi Jason, and Whiz that come each week to the track and shop.

What do you love about the sport that makes you want to come back each week and race?

The feeling of sitting behind the wheel and racing with some of the best competition in the area.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years of racing?

Hopefully on the outlaw tour or possibly even farther.

For the fans, what is it like to drive one of these cars?

An amazing experience that is very addicting.

You got 2 wins this year, one at Williams Grove and one at Lincoln. How did that feel?

Pretty exciting and also surprising considering it was my only 4th time racing a Williams Grove.

For the 358 division what rules or changes do you think can make it the division better?

There is to many to mention.(he laughs) I just think that the purpose of this division was built from the ground up for the low cost racers and a stepping stone for other drivers like myself to learn, and each year there going farther from that concept

Do you have a favorite 410 driver?

Nope. I watch them all and learn from them all.

Who had the biggest impact on your racing career and why?

Probably my dad, if it wasn't for him and all the money and time invested I wouldn't be where I am today.

What is your favorite part of racing?

Of course good finishes.

What is your favorite memory in racing so far?

Winning at Williams grove with only ever racing there 4 times.

What is the worst memory in racing so far?

I had a bad micro flip at Trail Ways and going to Hanover hospital.

Trailways 6/25/09

Friday was hot, humid and dusty. The best nights for racing! After threats of rain the Hanover area did not get hit as hard as surrounding areas. Racing was on in the litte dust bowl.

Tim Wagaman

The TWR #1 car of Tim Wagaman started the night out 3rd in his heat and finished 2nd. The car was fast and everyone was looking forward to the feature. Tim started 12th in the feature. His customary spot the last couple of weeks as the points leader. The car looked like it didnt want to turn going into 1-2 but Tim got it under control only to lose 3 spots to a car almost spinning in front of him. Shortly after somthing broke in the car and Tim had to pull in. Instead of worrying about it they checked the car after the feature and look forward to a double header next week.

Derek Sell

Derek Sell sprinter made his first feature in a couple weeks and this can do nothing but boost his confidence. The one thing I have been telling everyone about this guy is once he gets some confidence in his ability to power the # 20 he is going to get fast. Its a big change from non wing to wings at such a young age. Derek started outside pole in the in the 1st heat and finished 5th. He than started 13th in the feature and finished 13th. It was a good run for him and the team. Hopefully this is a good start for the rest of the season!

Pass-N-Pay Challenge

I have now come up with the Pass-N-Pay Challenge that I run each time the 358's run at Lincoln Speedway where I challenge the winner of each feature at Lincoln. This is a fun and active way to do a little for the division and get to meet the drivers and crews of each team. The challenge works like this. If you win a 358 feature at Lincoln expect a visit from me. I will hand you a $5 bill and challenge you. If you finish in the top 5 I will hand you x amount the next time 358's race at Lincoln.

5th-$60

So far the Challenge has been a success. I have challenged Dale Hammaker and Kyle Moody. Both drivers and crews have shown excitement in the oppurtunity to make a little extra cash. I got to talk to drivers and teams I probally would have never met. It has been both exciting and rewarding for me to try to give th teas a little bit of support. They did not meet the challenge but both showed their apperciation and that helps me want to continue to keep giving this challenge. Thank you guys.

Lastly I would like to thank Tony for allowing me to use his images on my blog for Pass-N-Pay. I still have to get down to turn 3 and meet him as I said I was going to do for the last 3 weeks. Hey dirt track fans,

Pass-n-Pay a sponsor created to help drivers in 358 division would like to put out a shout out to all 358 drivers and say hello. Pass-n-Pay was created in 08 by myself to sponsor the 1 car of Tim Wagaman. It started out I would pay $20 to any car he passed in the feature. After passing many cars it went to just giving Tim a $50-$100 every week or two to help maintain fuel and tire cost. As he passed a good amount of cars, and my bank would have been busted!

This year Pass-n-Pay has went one step further and expanded to the 20 car of Derek Sell. After talking to the Derek and his father we set up a deal and do the same thing. Again to cut fuel cost or tire cost so a little more money could go to something else.

Pass-N-Pay is a way for me to be involved in racing, I get to meet drivers be around the cars and watch them progress in the ranks of the 358's. I choose to do this in the 358 division because it is in my opinion, some of the best racing in Central PA. I look forward every week to watching the cars run, meet people, see the family, and enjoy dirt flying high.
